INGREDIENTS

  • ¾ cup polenta

  • 2 tablespoons light miso paste

  • 3 cups water

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • black pepper, to taste


instructions

  1. To a medium pot add the polenta, miso, and water. Whisk until the miso is dissolved.

  2. Place over medium heat and stir every few minutes until it thickens, about 20 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in butter and soy sauce.

  4. Taste and finish with black pepper as needed.
